samboy
Hi gang. After fitting 2 new pumps with no joy the trouble seems to have been the mixer was a bit clogged up. Looking at the filters in the mixer they didn't look too bad but bad enough to stop the system working properly. So touch wood i hope that will be the end of the saga. Edited November 16 by samboy Corrected spelling.

oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Not sure what filers mean ah filter but all things like this happen if you live in a Hard Water Area ? And according to a Chart, Essex is just that, meaning the dreaded lime scale and furring of things like shower units, There are things you can do to eliminate like a water softener but I would suggest if not the case you can get inline magnetic scale reducers, I put one on the inline water feed pipe to a gas boiler and it has never scaled up in over 20 years, now my sons home as after every years boiler service it gets the approved No problems from Pete the gas engineer, I also put a magnetic scale reducer on the water pipe under the sink before it goes to Meter, These magnet scale reducers do not eliminate scale but break it down so it reduces the furring up of all things water fed and worth a look if you live in a Hard water Area, Some thing like a Fernox but your need cut pipe, or there is a Water King type electric but i did not find better than the Fernox type Edited November 16 by oldypigeonpopper
TIGHTCHOKE
Simply put, the "filters" protect the expensive pump.
JKD
If you mean the small foil discs that fit into most appliances, like those in washing machine hoses, surely that would have been easy to see, clean and fit back ? 🤔 Anyway,,,, as usual, it's nearly always a simple solution to these 'problems' 😆

Didn't think of looking at the mixer.

Might have dislodged some 'pipe debris' during the changeover,,,, limescale and stuff 😆 You'll know what to look for next time 🤓
