mexlad
Hi all, just wondered if anyone knows of anyone that does days showing you how to set up and shoot pigeons correctly, I’m relatively new to pigeon shooting so looking for a bit of guidance really, or anyone that would need a days help I’m happy to just sit and watch and learn, I’ve been into country sports all my life and I go picking up and beating as well as other things, I’m fully insured, have my own pick up and have my shotgun certificate, any help would be appreciated, thanks

Take your gun of course! There are loads of good books out there, plus oodles of stuff online. Have fun.

Thanks mate, yeah I’ve got a bit of permission to go on so I will be out on that, I’ve done a bit of roost shooting on it so far, I’m learning everything I can through watching YouTube and reading, I suppose it’s a case of learning on the job and learning from my mistakes, thanks for the reply
Spr1985
I’ve previously posted similar in response to a similar question, if you have your own permission (it seems you do) and your farmer/landowner will allow it, you could extend an invite to a member of the forum that’s experienced and local to you, getting pointers/ advice/ mentoring from an experienced pigeon shoot may prove invaluable…..and you never know you may even make a friend. Good luck in your endeavours it’s a fantastic way to spend a day 👍🏻
