I have a week off so wont to shoot as much as I can this week. I went to my large permission and to be honest there was not much around. Loads of bunny holes with no bunnies.

Anyhoos, I got one wabbit with the Ruger. He did not know what had hit him. 135 Yards.

Don't tell me ...........You happened to have a state of the art range finder on you .

You know me by now. Of course I did. Bushnell yardage pro :good:

Hogey,

Not wanting to sound rude but i think if you took time to read through some of my posts you will see that I document almost every kill i make. And in fact where rabbits are concerned some may say too well.

The Range Finder purchased as a group buy long before your time can be found below.

So, in short I take offense that you may be portraying I am an irresponsible shooter and I am pretty sure I will have more than one person back me up on that.

Of course, if I have done something that is wrong or maybe could be improved upon i will post it on here and take constructive criticism like i have done many times in the past. All part of the learning process.

That "Call" is an Acme dog whislte :whistling:

Well done on your first rabbit with the new Ruger Lee - many more to come i hope

As for leaving 1 rabbit, dont let em get to you mate- Remember your doing vermin control for your farmers and they dont care whether you pick em up or not, they just want rid of the pesky little ********

Exactly, this particular one had to put down 20 sheep last year due to them breaking legs in warrens. What i planned doing was leaving the corpses for foxes. I assume I can bait foxes in this way? Not sure though. Advice would be welcomed.

As for leaving them, if i know they are dead, which generally with a 17 HMR they are I aint picking em up. The farmer has told me to hedge them or put the ones in the horse paddocks on the manure fire. The ones I am clearing at the moment leave in a hedge :good:

very much so - just shoot a few in the same place (if you can) over a few days, then shoot another one evening/morning and lie in wait for mr Raynard :whistling:

Excellent. That's what i planned to do. Mr Farmer is keen on no foxes as they tend to take alot of lambs. I ordered a Fox Caller and Rabbit distress gizmo to help me out.

We have tried these and i personally dont think they are up to much ( other opinions may differ though)

I think the digital callmaster with the foxing chip is a much better option for about the same kind of money, but if you want to go just that little better buy a FOXPRO.

Now that is a bit funky that, if you don't get any foxes then at least you can have a party :good:
