njc110381
I'm sure a few of you have read about all my mood swings regarding the application. The loss of the first application etc. I now, at long last, have it in my hand. I've been cleared for .17hmr, .22lr and 6.5x55. Under our force I've been told that Fox are classed as vermin, so I can shoot them with the .22 and .17. At the moment it's Deer only for the 6.5. To be honest I'm just glad to have it. I'm going Stalking next Tuesday, which is a little close for comfort
flytie
Well done mate , I am just a tiny bit green with envy! West Mercia are now saying it takes about 22 weeks, so only 14 weeks to go then for me Unofficially though the wait can be a bit longer, I know of one who has waited 6.5 months before arrival. ft

mr_colt
Any idea what sort of timeframe West Mercia have for new SGC applications? mr_colt.
Oly
Nice one NJC West Mercia turned my change of address and variation around in about 10 weeks (and that was with me on the phone to them at least once a week after about week 4) - which is terrible compared to my previous force's (Cumbria) 2 weeks (max!) . From what I heard when I had my variation in (June) W.Mercia were turning new applications around in 16 weeks, but then they did also tell me that my variation should take 8 weeks max! Have a couple of extra Shredded Wheat for breakfast, they can be very big down there

njc110381
Good luck next week, Drovers knows exactly where the deer come through, so you should at least get to see some, even if you don't got on one.Have a couple of extra Shredded Wheat for breakfast, they can be very big down there I'm hoping to get one, but if I don't I'm sure the experience will be plenty good enough. To be honest, if there is any doubt on my part I'll be handing the rifle to Mike. I'd be more than happy to watch him shoot and learn from it. Hopefully there will be at least one deaf and blind one that I can get within 150 yards of and shoot from prone. The bit I'm not looking forward to is having to carry a large Deer and a tired old duffer of a mentor out of the wood at the same time, one under each arm
