Well, I reckon it would be madness to try to get to JJS for tomorrow (brave the Lakeside and Bluewater traffic jams).

The good news is Copfurn at Margetting is on tomorrow (23rd December)

Whose up for it?

I have to pick a turkey up at 10 a.m. (not LV) and will be rocking up for 11 a.m.

Well, I shot like a hero with the pump action and on stand 10 (the last stand) I was 2 clear ahead of the rabble namely Bagsy, followed by Derek Digweed, then Broken Man and then Flashman.

Bagsy shot first and walloped 7/8, then Derek with a 6 and so on.

I shot last and choked liked a *******

An interesting lesson in clearing your head of the mathematic permutations of the score card before shooting.

Great day, nice testing set up and looking forward to the 27th :xmas:

Over to the rabble....

Well done on another fantastic win.

Well what can we say?

With three stands to shoot Mungler requests a count up on the cards. There are only four birds separating four of us and we're set for fittingly tight but pressurised finale to the shoot.

Onto the next stand, a left to right looper followed by a right to left crosser only a few foot off the ground. I make good the looper but having missed three of the crossers I turned to see Mungler chuckling away uncontrollably with a huge grin on his face :good: Mungler steps up and kills 6 out of eight. I’ve had it

Onto the penultimate stand and up the small tower we go. A left to right quartering away followed by a going away from under us. I struggled to hit the first and concede to a certain defeat as Mungler hit 7 of the 8. Mr Digweed hit 6 and Broken Man hit 7. :o

Last stand and it’s in the bag for Mung. I step up to shoot and get 6 ex 8 of the rising L-R and R-L quartering birds. Mr Digweed shoots 7 and the pressures on. Broken Man hits 5 :(

Mung only needs five for a win or four for a draw and steps up with a confidence Faulds would have been impressed with. Miss Miss :o No way, could he really have missed the first two? Kill Kill :/ Oh well, back to normal then. Miss Miss  A collective gasp of shock from the watching posse as the big man shakes his head in disbelief!

No pressure on the Mung as he loads for the final two. As if to convince himself he reminds us he only needs to kill these for a draw. MISS MISS :D

The agony could be heard from Chelmsford to Southend while waiting shooters tried to fathom out why the watching few jumped in collective joy

Had West Ham just won the Cup? Na, better than that, the Mung had just given away a certain win to finish....................................THIRD!!!!!!

Scores on the doors:

Bagsy 52

Mr Digweed 51

Mungler 50

Broken Man 49

Flashman 29

It doesn't happen often, but damn we enjoy it when it does B)

Cheers chaps
