The shot gun in question is a Greener MkIII 12 bore [ Police riot gun ] , single shot Martini action , there were also other designs for Egyption police which had designs in 14 bore to stop them beign used by the masses against the authorities . ph5172 Posted December 23, 2007 Report Share Posted December 23, 2007 I have done a bit of digging and the only thing i can come up with is it is the designation, ie GP = General Purpose EG = Egypt possibly to make identifying easy whilst in storage due to the different carts needed im sure somone knows different but thats all i could dig up.
