george123456789 Posted December 27, 2007 Report Share Posted December 27, 2007 For my AS level French oral presentation i have to produce a 3 minute speech about anything i want that is in some way related to France, I have chosen to cover fieldsports in France. It's a broad topic i know but it would be really useful if anyone could give me an idea on the general outlook on fieldsports from the french public, what fieldsports are most popular, what sort of oppopsition there is to fieldsports, and just any other general information. Its kind of related wikipedia it !!! It is now against the law to sell them in France - but not to eat them. For centuries, a rite of passage for French gourmets has been the eating of the Ortolan. These tiny birds—captured alive, force-fed, then drowned in Armagnac—were roasted whole and eaten that way, bones and all, while the diner draped his head with a linen napkin to preserve the precious aromas and, some believe, to hide from God.
