Gordon R
A friend of mine bought a Beretta AL391 Teknys Gold last year. It was made in 2004, but has had only a couple of thousand shells through it. The surface of the receiver is becoming blistered. It looks like the alloy is oxidising under the nickel coating. Has anyone had this problem and is there a solution? To get rid of the blistering would remove the surface and perhaps a bit more. It is becoming unsightly and has ruined a very good looking gun. The guarantee only applies to the first owner so he cannot rely on any potential warranty, but I would have expected a better gun from Beretta. tikkamark
Seems a lot of people have that problem with the teknys made around that time the gun will have to be sent back to gmk and the receiver re coated in nickel. This topic only appeared on this site about 2 weeks ago the chap(forget who )had got the gun second hand but had the beretta 10year guarantee and the replacement didnt cost him anything from what i believe. Shame really its the only fault with a very nice gun

Gordon R
Mike / Andy - thanks for that. Andy - It is Mark Sw's gun, which you had hold of at Coniston. He is gutted. Mike - are you the same Mike from Coniston Hall?
