myuserid
eBay is the best place if you want a cheap disc, buy from a reputable seller though.

Lord Geordie
As long as you have a valid CD Key then it won't really matter if the disk it's self is a copy the main concern with software piracy like this is the use of a cracked CD key My origional Windows XP disk was damaged so I ran off a copy from a friends to reboot my PC then destroyed the disk once done. pin
linux free and fast. It's also 10 years off being anywhere near as useful to any normal human beings as XP is. As much as I hate microsoft, setup.exe is one of the finest bits of programming there is
Hardy
There should be a certificate of authenticty stuck onto the laptop somewhere which will have the windows serial No on it so you can load up from any disk. If you're looking to buy 'secondhand' versions of of XP be very careful that they are capable of being licenced & not pre used OEM copies. A legitimate version on XP Home edition (OEM) will be about £50 plus the cost of a main hardware component like a CPU.
