peacey
A mate of mine has been offered a Falcon air rifle but doesn't know which model it is yet until tomorrow, is there a particular model to look out for good or bad and if so what are the general problems with them. Would also like to know how many shots per fill etc. I know it's a bit vague but if anyone could help i'd be grateful. Cheers guys

hkrobin
Falcon have never made a bad rifle. All the models work in much the same way, and have the same barrel and air tank configuration. So, the better the stock, the better the gun. Other than that, multishots are more desirable. I have two and one of them is the fn19 tw, a single shot with a walnut thumbhole stock which I still consider to be one of the best looking air rifles ever made. Oh, and 70 shots in 19" .22 and maybe 55 - 60 from .177 is about the most you can expect. Edited January 14, 2008 by hkrobin
BSA Shaun
With a little more info on model and calibre, I can give you a wealth of knowledge
monkeyjaimz
I used to have an FN12 in .22, cracking little gun, light weight and a pleasure to shoot
Wookie
As above... I have an FN12 Raptor Light Hunter and it's a great rifle. Expect about 5 full mags off a fill though as the air chamber is a bit small.

lewis
running with the falcon theme.. does anyone have anything bad to say about the Falcon FN12 Raptor Lighthunter? AND.. is a Simmons WTC scope any good Thanks in advance
hkrobin
Only bad thing about the fn12 lighthunter is the low shots per fill. I personally don't like the look of the stock, but that's just me. WTC are perfectly good scopes.
Wookie
As has been said, low shots per fill. Other than that, it's light and good, with the only other minor drawback being the lack of wood making it tricky to fit either a sling or a bipod. That is all... In my book about 9/
mad al
I had a lighthunter and selling that is something I regret doing. I intend getting another when I come across one
Easy Bully
Thw WTC scopes are sweet, I've got a couple are can't find a bad thing to say about them especially as the price for them has dropped fairly recently and a bargain can be picked up second hand. martin1
hi there, simmons wtc is spot on mate.. problems with light hunter? 3 blue is thin and they rust easy if there not looked after and the shot count is low and loading magazines out lamping is verry hard.. but still a good rifle if looked after.. as for good points? verry light, consistent, good for junior, easy to carry, good handling, single shot is a no nonsense rifle and brilliant all rounder.. just make sure you oil it every tim used.. happy shooting p.s. simmons wtc are brilliant for lamping
