Cushat
Any one own a Rizzini Artimis? Always fancied a 16bore and very few manufacturers make them now, Rizzini being one of them. Other is Lincoln... Any thoughts appreciated.

Having said that ,I think that they are both made under the same roof. Definately from the same town , but can't remember if it's the same factory. Never used a Lincoln, but I have used a Rizzini, and I was quite impressed. (Not to be confused with the cheaper Rizzini, same family, different brother.) trakker01
rizzini, is a sister company of beretta, the origins of rizzini were from emilo fauch, a hand made italian shot gun manufacturer. when e fauch passed on, rizzini became the co owner & beretta run the outfit now......... so im told.. i had a side plater by e.fauch & a u/o rizzini..no diffrence in quality & Lincon come no where near. rizzini are a bargain, if the name stamped was beretta add £500+

funky
I was loaned a Rizzini from my local gunsmith i found it a lovely looking gun but found the action cumbersome and not very smooth quite difficult to lock and when opening the cartridge in the bottom chamber would not clear the breech it was priced at £350.00 about £150.00 over priced  It was not the one you mentioned but it had vented barrels nice scroll work on the receiver and lovely rich colored wood. I researched the gun and it turns out to be about 10 years old and was mass produced for the English market. as mentioned a good looking gun along the lines of a 687 sporter but lacking in quality engineering this may have been a bad example , but after speaking with my friend whos knowledge is second to none he explained that this model is renowned for breaking firing pins and has a sticky action which takes allot of muscle power to operate.... obviuosly the cheaper brother Rizzini Edited January 14, 2008 by funky

benelli 1
Father had one several years ago, but I think he was impressed with it if I remember correctly. I can remember using it now and then and in my opinion I thought it was a good looking, well finished, nice handling gun. I think he kept it for about 4 years before he traded it in for something else and in that time he had no trouble with it at all. I think he paid about £450 (new) for it at the time. I've never been a fan of Lincoln guns myself, so if I was choosing between them I would deffo go for the Rizzini
