digger
After too many beers on my recent trip my mate and I have come up with a cunning (wife calls it stupid) plan. In the summer we will fly one way to Krakow and with a maximum budget of £150 by a fiat 127 as they ar eextremely common over there. £50 buys one in good nick so for triple that we should get a half decent one if such a thing exists, we then have to drive back to England with points deducted for breakdowns or wrong turns. Sat nav is not alowed. In Germany one lap of the Nurburgring at a bargain price of under £15 is being arranged, fastest lap time means an hour deducted from the total travelling time. The finish line is tower bridge, bonus points for actually selling the car if and when we make it back. Its a thousand miles back so we are allowing a week or so with a week in Poland before to soak up the local culture. Childish ? Maybe ! Not at all Digger, please keep me posted and that scenario appeals to me. Would look good on film if the navigators had camcorders to record the ups and downs too LB

digger
Well remembered FM The traditional polish dance is alive and well, at a club called Bikini I witnessed it, gotta love any club called bikini ! Rules are changing all daily, no mods allowed to the cars, only petrol and water are allowed to be added. Breakdowns incur a penalty, over taking on an autobahn gains bonus points as does sleeping in the car. We are trying to arrange for a joining fee with 60% going to cancer relief the rest being prize monies. Roll on summer
