LEFTY478
The timing of this thread was brilliant! My year's free CA anti-virus on the home PC has just expired and so I installed the Avast AV last night.

Guest The Outlaw
We do the same, currently running AVG free virus and AVG spyware versions 7.5 with mozilla firefox. They are slow to start with as they have to do a total scan, but we havent noticed any lack of running speed when the scans have finished. I have made a note of this thread so when we need to renew or current stuff we will assess the recomendations you guys have made. Hardy
At work I use Sophos which is very good, however in the real world I've set up a lot of PC's with AVG. I'd also reccomend adding Spybot Search & Destroy too - that'll add an extra layer of protection especaily against spyware & trojans.
