smokingdragon
Hi They are 2 brothers, and we've had them 3 weeks. They live in the house and at the moment they are very good!! Clean at night and we are both in work all day and they have only puddled on a newspaper. We do execise them a fair bit, approx 2 miles a day (off the lead), in the week and about 4 miles on the Weekend and we've given up our gym membership!!! So far so good but I'm on my guard!! A rare picture of when they are still. Simon
gdunc
Good looking little fellas When you start training you'll be better off working with them individually and you should be careful that they don't become too attached to each other more so than to you. Cockers are brilliant little dogs though and you'll be garaunteed plenty of entertainment.
v-max
Hello nice pups & am i right in reading there brothers ?.Sorry but pups should never be sold together unless you have vast experiance as there loyalty is only to one another & hard to break. If you are new to this i cant beleave the breeder sold them to you as a pair hope you the best & you dont have one pup destroy another with it's behaviour.I refused to sell a couple a pair of lab's due to this & they went with 1 & clad of it but i was thinking 1yrs down the line for the pups as it could have been bad. smokingdragon
I know everyone says never to buy litter brothers but i bought 2 sprockers 5 years ago and have never had any problem with them being 'too attached' etc. They have been kenneled together since day one. If anything its the other way around, they do there own thing normally, one of them is very competetive if his brother gets too much praise. I wouldn't worry mate. Hi They are very different personallities, the gold one (Rusty)is a natural retriever and has picked up and carried from the first day we had him and he is very laid back. The black one (Jet) will retrieve but not too bothered about it, but is very hyper and seems to quarter well. I have noticed that as the weeks go by they are getting invidually more confident and split up whilst out walking. Having the 2 is a god send when calling them back as they seem to compete with each other to get back first and so they are excellent at coming back to the call. On the downside they do wind each other up and when they are hurtling around the house chasing each other, I sometimes worry about what we have done!! We wanted 2 dogs so that they are company for each other when we are at work and really can't see if we had bought from 2 separate litters at the same time what the big difference would have been. Cheers Simon
lurcherboy
Lovely cockers I think the siblings thing is a bit like having a choccie lab, everyone will tell you that their bad, but it is an urbam myth. How they turn out will be down to the training and that's in your hands mate. Good luck LB
