Dean k
Were they all shot last night?? Some look more "rotten" than others Well done and nice amount, Dean
bob300w
Yep, they were all shot on the same night a month or so ago, they then spent the night in my motor, which is why they look a bit stiff. Also took a week and a lot of air freshener to get the smell out of the Mitsubishi. A lesson learned there, chuck them out the same night, whatever time you get home! Sten Ch
Amazing! Apart from everything else: you must have a hell of a lot of foxes running around in the countryside! I have picked eight this season on my shoot, and that is a record and I have had to work hard for them. So if you can shoot ten in one night you must literally have hundreds of the ******** running about, killing pheasants, roe deer by the thousands. I'm glad we have the North Sea in between us. They don't swim very well, do they? Edited February 25, 2008 by Sten Ch
bob300w
Sten Ch; they do swim, very well, I have only shot one that was swimming, we pushed it onto a small strip of land on the marsh at high tide, when it got to the end, it swam across. There are not as many about as there were! These were on a farm that had not been shot before and is my record for one night, up till then my record was seven, getting one in a night is an achievement nowadays on my usual patch (around 9000 acres). Stealth Stalker
Thats some going Bob Did you find that because they'd not been lamped or the land shot before, they weren't difficult to call in? SS
bob300w
Stealth Stalker; Yes, they did tend to be a bit naive, hence the big bag. Once they have been shot at and missed, or had a lurcher chase them, they are a different proposition, they associate a lamp with danger.
