Well, I am going to give it a whirl.

Come on the Essex mafia - get your CPSA cards out (Martin, you can forge one for the day?) and give it a whirl.

I will be driving if anyone wants a lift.

It's telephone entries and it's into squads. I will be phoning through tomorrow - let me know who fancies a bash with the big boys of Essex.

Anyone got Derek Digweed's mobile number - I am not sure what the score is for shooting for Essex if you live outside the County but he should deffo give it a go given his recent top form.

You can't shoot for the Essex CPSA team if you live outside the County. All entrants have to provide a current CPSA membership number which links directly back to your County of residence, so it's not possible to blag it either.

That's why I'll be shooting in the Herts team at the South East Inter Counties Champs, (which I've just realised clashes with the Essex Masters..!! :good::good: ), so the Bucks boys will have to do without me that day.

What about if you DID live in Essex but then moved and didn't tell the CPSA - how would they know? :good:

They obviously wouldn't know, unless another disgruntled shooter twitted on what he perceived to be "cheating", which is a very real possibility if you were to deprive somebody of a place in their County team, however, your copy of "Pull" magazine and your membership renewal forms would go to the address shown on their records.

As with all of these things, if people start that sort of thing, the hole they're in has to be dug deeper and deeper, and it all gets out of hand eventually, honesty is always the best policy.

Give it a go guys, it'll be a toughie, a tad harder than MC's & SS's 49 ex 50 straw bale shoots, I wish you all well and hope you make the Essex team for '08..!!

Remember, today Harlow  /Basildon  / Billericay  / .........tommorow the World...!!! :hmm:

Why oh why do you have to trash talk so much Cat. Its the "Haybale shoots" that make up the majority of shoots in this country where the majority of shooters shoot and oh, probably where you started too, as well as still shoot the odd one here or there to pick up prize money that you can't win now your eyesight is failing

Everytime I see a post about this shoot or that, you have to have a derogatory dig, grow up!!!!!

Simmer down lads.

Whilst the Cat can't resist a dig at the hay-balers, he is absolutely right.

I would be hoping for 70/100 - 75/100 but am not holding my breath.

Mr. Digweed is on fire, if he holds it together he should have a spanking round.

I have spoken to he who shall not be named , and the rematch of which I hope to attend isnt on this day Cat.

Most of the Bucks will be shooting against you in the South East Inter Counties including me I hope. Time to sort you kit out honey :hmm:

Just got back from High Lodge. Got 77/100 which wasn't too bad.

Lots to learn - missed all the ones off the high tower and missed all the long out fast right to left crosser / quartering.

Why? Because they are targets I just don't get to see down at the hay bale

Derek Digweed had a bit of a mare (if we were shooting Essex rules he would have had to get his *** out twice) and I will let him fill in the details......

Well done Mung, that's a fair score at that ground, a bit better than your performance there at last years British, you've obviously learned a lot since then..................now who was just shot down in flames by SS for saying it would be a tad harder than the usual straw bale shoots, it seems he may have been right all along..:good:???

DQ,

Looking forward to it, I always enjoy a challenge and I'll certainly get my kit well greased up for the day, but it looks like I'll be doing it on the Saturday as I'm booked in to shoot the Essex Masters early on Sunday.

You can then have a good laugh at my score, I've had some nightmare results at Southdown over the last couple of years, it's one of those grounds that will really punish you if you're not on top form for whatever reason.
