pavman
Fair Trade  I am all in favour of fair trade, However I just wish it was extended to the likes of us, Fair Trade is a constant news topic these days and many seek political advantage by wishing to claim they are truly Fair Traders,,, well how about this What about some fair trade for us in the UK How about our Farmers getting Fair Trade for the UK meat products, Milk and Poultry, How about we get the same competitive pricing on new cars, I Tune downloads, consumer goods, Beer, wine, sprits, ciggies etc How about we get to pay the same as others (USA) for our fuel instead of the highest in the developed world, How about if I want to move house I don’t have the pay HM Government 3% of the purchase price for the privilege How about you can get shooting kit from the USA and not have to pay import tax How about we stop fighting other people’s wars, giving money away to countless global projects, wasting money on countless Euro Bureaucrat issues and welcoming folk from just about all other Global regions to be supported by our crumbling welfare state and our Tax! Now that would be Fair would it not? Rant over Edited March 10, 2008 by pavman

al4x
it really ****** me off on this subject this week to hear how pig farmers are working at a loss of £20 an animal and the next set of adverts were a supermarket selling pork at 1/2 price  If we want to eat good meat we have to pay for it but it would be nice if a sensible amount went to the people doing all the hard work rather than just into the supermarkets pockets
bob300w
This posting is far too sensible, it can't possibly be politically correct.
MM
keep Britain great! if we stop importing cheap ****, and buy British, we can turn it around.
shaun4860
keep Britain great! if we stop importing cheap ****, and buy British, we can turn it around. It will never happen because this labour government wants to import all our food and oil and gas and coal they want us to stop being a manufacturing country and become nothing more than an assembly plant for kits coming from abroad. When will the electorate wake up to the fact that labour want to shut us down so we rely on everyone else's whims and wishes..... rant over.... Agreed, plus they are also importing the labour to work on the assembly plants! If I was 15 years younger, I would be heading for NZ or Canada.
