Query about word documents

Right another "Duh !" moment, I have used Word for a couple of letters and I used General templates>Professional letter. I printed off the letter but also saved it, when I try to print it off again, with the original document date, it always reverts to the current date

Anyone know how to print it with the original date ??

Cheers for any replies

HD,

Dr W means you must actually delete the entire field, not just the contents of the field which is set to always put in todays date. Just highlight the whole field and hit delete.

Or, right click on the field (the grey box) and Edit it. There is a "create date" option which populates the field with the date the document was created.

Hello Henry.

There is also another option available. I don't know if it will effect

the template document but it may be worth a try.

On the toolbar go to the insert tab and when open find insert

time and date. When you highlight the time and date tab the

box will open and in the bottom right hand corner of that box

there is a little tick box for updateing the date automaticaly.

Click the box for auto update unclick for no auto update.

Cheers taz.

Press the button that looks like |P on the toolbar, it will show you all the "mark up" that is normally hidden, this shows you what "clever" things it's doing for you that really **** you off.

Like when you change fonts and it keeps reverting etc, you can see where it got set in the document and nuke it
