What do you guys think of this?

Haven't found any prices yet, which can never be good, I'm not sure I'd buy it truth be told, I do like it but not entirely sure it isn't change for changes sake, I see the big benefit of the recoil of a SA with a lot of OU benefits, but I think I'd prefer an OU with a precision fit stock. Would like to have a good look at one though.

I like it the only thing i dont like about it is the stock

I like the stock and the spent cartridge ejection (downwards)

but I dont like the second cartridge just attached to the side of the gun.

It looks like an after thought.

Cheers taz.

The UGB 25 came out 3 years ago, but was withdrawn after a couple of months due to unreliability problems, suggested price then was over £2000.00 ! They spent a lot of money developing it, I fired one of the first ones and it was OK , but I wouldnt pay that kind of dosh for a auto, It was a gun really, for the American market. :welcomeani:

Not exactly "ground breaking" as it says in the sales blurb, is it? I like the statement "it's not an over and under because it only has one barrel", yeah, right, it's not a rifle either is it, because it's not rifled!

Despite being a huge fan of Beretta semi's myself, this is, as has been said, change for change's sake.

I can't see the claimed advantage of spent cases ejecting downwards either, has anyone shooting clays ever had complaints from people standing alongside them?

So, what do we have? A two shot semi-auto, something that Browning did 50 plus years ago! (And I still regret selling mine!)

I think the cartridge ejection problem is probably just with DTL, where a neighbouring shooter could get pinged with a shell :)

It's hardly going to kill him, though, probably just an etiquette thing, some mincers would probably take it personally :welcomeani:

I can't see the point of this piece either, really. If you want the benefits of an O/U, then buy one  and leave semi-autos to Rambo and the yanks. I would no more spend two grand on one of these than fly to the moon. I bet it still jams every five minutes B)

I think it's definitely aimed towards DTL, I have spotted another disadvantage to it against OU, on an OU you have your slightly more open barrel first while the clay is still close, then the second barrel with full to take it if you miss when it is firther away, with this you will have to choose full choke and have a slightly smaller pattern up close, or 3/4 etc. and have gaps in the pattern further away.

And I would get annoyed if I kept getting pinged by shells by another shooter, not because it hurts or I'm a mincer but it breaks your concentration and is just plain rude lol!
