HeadShotHoncho
As above, want to know cos am thinking of buying a PCP sometime soon and have a fixed budget and don't want to have to save up that much but am wondering wether multishot really is that much of an advantage. Thanks, HSH
milo2005
most good pcp's come with single shot tray, so you have the best of both worlds
HeadShotHoncho
Yeah but it still costs a lot more than the single shot (would like an S410) Thanks, HSH
relivingmyyouth
Just bought a Webley Raider 10. Tho I am having teething problems, the multi shot aspect of it is brilliant. A lot less bovva than a springer. I went multi shot because the single shot loading appertures seem so fiddly, especially in frosty field. With multi shot, you can buy a couple of extra mags, ( I already have 3) load em up nice & warm by the fire, and go bunny bashing in the morning without having to fiddle with tiny little pellets. The same applies if you shoot at night. Multi shot is great, but not the end of the world..
lewis
I only need one shot but a multis good just incase Cheers
Evil Elvis
I like it for the speed at which you can re-load, I have shot 3 bunnies merely yards apart in one go before the rest scedaddled!!
loopy bunny blaster
multi shots are very good, but single shots have advantages if your shooting in dusty or dirty areas

big andy
I do a lot of NV ratting and would not get the bags I do with a single shot, 2nd hand multis are not that dear save your pennies and buy one.......Andy..
perfect
ratting at night with nv, its harder to load in the dark so multi is better just top the mag up now and then.
chrispti
Imagine you are in the prone position just about to take a shot at a bunny, you squeeze the trigger, then you see a flash of the pellet just go over his head, now with a multi shot its a case of a quick pull and push of the bolt adjust your aim and whack, you got him. With a single shot you would have to move your shooting position to get out another pellet, fiddle about to re-load, get back into position, re-aim and try to remember which aim-point to use then hope your target is still there. decision is yours. wildoliver
Multishot all day long for hunting. You would not go back.

soreshoulder
i like multi-shot but when target shooting a magazine goes pretty quick, - although some may argue that it is quicker when lining in your scope . But when im target shooting or just plinking with a friend who has a single shot i'd like to have a single shot as theres no waiting around for them
HeadShotHoncho
Thanks everyone, it'll be a while before i but one but will defo buy one soon, in regards to how quick a mag goes and how many pellets you use I used up half a tin in an hour just plinking with my weihrauch (knockdown now covered in pellets) Many thanks, HSH
Salop Matt
As said before the first winter night you have when all is going well and bunnys are plentlyfull and you cant load your next shot for fumbling with the pellets in your cold hands and when you drop or spill them on the floor yourl just wish you had the multi shot and a couple of spare mags pre loaded. Dont make make life hard just save a few extra pennys !
airssassin
Multishots are pretty handy things to have for hunting 1)less movement for reloading 2) Quicker reloading 3) Less suffering of quarry if you need a coup de grace in a hurry BUT I have a single shot gas ram and rate it very highly - great fun and I use far fewer pellets! If you can get clean kills most of the time, one shot will do the business. I used soley my gas ram for about 18 months and I cleared loads of squirrels and woodies without getting any "runners". If you are low on cash, I would say don't be put off hunting just because you can only stretch to a single shot.
