MC
Don't worry about make, Just make sure they are blue and the brass around the head isn't too big.
bob300w
Don't worry about make, Just make sure they are blue and the brass around the head isn't too big. Rubbish, look at it scientifically, it's red with high brass.
MC
Bob, How many times do you need to be told? Red ones with high brass are no use for OT or DTL. They are more use for tree stumps and the odd fence post. jeezzz, I know you come from an odd part of Essex but come on.

Ratman2
What is the best make cartridge to use for olympic trap and maybe DTL? I don't think there is an answer that's right for this question, it's all down to what suits you. I shoot DTL, ABT, Sporting, OT, DR and Skeet, and the cartridges I use most are the cheapest my dealer has at the time. If it goes bang and throws the lead, or steel, forward, it'll do for me. MC
Robert, Thank you for pointing that out, as you clearly state I am not fit to hold an SGC which is just as well I don't. My guns were bought from a guy I met in a pub (If you know what I mean) Mind you, to do any real damage with them you do need to cut the string off the cork

Zapp
What is the best make cartridge to use for olympic trap and maybe DTL? Ok, I'll be boring and put up a serious answer... Aaron, it all boils down to how much shooting you have done and how good you are at it. If you are a really, really top class shot, then it is worth worrying about which make of cartridge to use. If you are not a top class shot (like 99.9% of the rest of us), I suggest you try the following: Get 2 boxes of 25 trap carts in 7.5. Make sure one of the boxes is the most expensive, sooper-dooper ones you can find. Make sure that the other box is the cheapest 7.5's you can lay your hands on. Now shoot 25 trap/dtl with each brand, you could even get someone else to load the gun while you look the other way so you dont know which is which. At the end, have a look at your scores. I will eat my hat if you hit more with the snazzy, high-brass wundershells than you do with the cheap and cheerful ones. It may not be the answer you were looking for, but I guarantee that it will save you a few bob and keep you from falling into the trap of blaming everything but yourself when you miss.
