bazguevara
Does anyone use one of these, and are they any good?
iai4me
There worth every penny as they do work, but the correct fitting makes all the difference. You can buy them of the shelf and fit them yourself, but if your not careful your gun can end up to long in the stock and the pad can look very scruffy as its difficult to get a uniform shape with a sanding sheet. I've found a better solution is the browning recoil pad which fits in the skeet vests, but your could adapt any clothing to take the pad. The pads are £18.00, where as the kick Eez pads are around £40.00. Hope ive been of help

Bradders
had Beretta gel pad fitted last week at muy local shop. Much better and a smoother gun mount as the shape is more ergonomic that the standard Beretta pad. Should have had it done sooner

I might have to do that eventually! I had septic arthritis in my shoulder a couple of years ago and it's still not 100%, plus after a few bad mounts I've got one mother of a bruise on my arm after shooting on Saturday! Windknot
I've just bought and fitted a Kick Eez to my other Miroku. I went for the 1 1/8" thickness, as I wanted to lengthen the stock anyway (it had been shortened by a previous owner.) Fitting the pad was quite easy- I simply used the supplied self tappers to attach to the stock (screw spacing matched- woohoo!), scribed round the outside to get the correct dimensions, then used a belt/ disc sander to rough sand to size. Then it went back on the stock, and I slowly sanded it down to size (put masking tape on the stock to protect it!). All this took 30 minutes, including a shower to get the black dust out of my hair, eyes and nose. I still need to do a small amount of hand finishing, but it is perfectly usable at the moment. Unfortunately I won't get a chance to shoot the gun 'till Saturday, but I'll let you know how it went then. Jakes
Cushat
They definitely reduce recoil if that's what you're after, but if recoil isn't a problem then I'd avoid as they tend to be really "sticky" and if you shoot gun-down will snag quite easily when you're mounting. Depends what you want from it though??
clayman
Take a look at the Cervellati Microcell pad - its on Ebay and other places. Sand to shape, glue of screw fix, and with patented absorption properties - and its only £11-95.
Cranfield
How do you know which Beretta gel-pad to buy ? I have seen them advertised at 18mm, 20mm, 23mm. Are they that hard to fit yourself ?

Bought mine from here http://www.avalon-shop.co.uk/index.php?mai...=20a&page=2 The 18mm and 23mm are the thickness of the pad. They also have a list of Beretta models that they fit in the link. Although my 686E was not listed I bought a 23mm 12g pad and it fitted perfectly. Just 2 screws that fitted the existing holes, dead easy.
