mudpatten
I`m 6`4" tall and I have a real problem with the length of the synthetic stock on my SBE 2, its way too short and until recently I could`nt find a solution to the problem of lengthening it. If anyone else has this problem I`ll post the solution, shan`t bother if I`m alone with this one. Nick.
Baldrick
You are definitely not alone on this. I am shorter than you, but because of my simian arms use a 15.5" LOP on all my other guns. The puny LOP on my Benelli M2 drives me mad. My RFD says that GMK is well aware of the problem, but Benelli refuses to manufacture replacement, longer stocks. Townie
I've got a semi-auto and an ancient English sbs that both suffer from a short stock. I bought one of those leather and elastic stock extension jobbies that add an extra inch. It doesn't look that good, but it's stopped me belting myself in the mouth with my thumb (particularly when swinging rght to left).

Lloyd90
On the Benelli Site it shows different Size gel pads that you can swap over to make the LOP a little longer or raise your face off the butt a little higher. Have you looked into this ?
InGen
lol the longest gel pad only takes the stock to 14 3/8.
mudpatten
A shaped and tapped 3mm thick aluminium plate is available from a US firm called BROWNELLS. Type something like "Benelli stock extension" into their search engine. The plate fits behind the locating ridge for the existing removable gel butt plate. It is intended to facilitate the fitting of an after market recoil pad as the stock is otherwise hollow with nothing to screw into. According to the US Benelli Forum it`s a tried and tested method for fitting said non original butt pad, or extending the stock. Unfortunately, after fitting the extension piece it will require the use of a screw-on after market butt pad since the original is hollow and cannot be re-attached. As has been said before, Benelli are aware of the shortness of their factory stocks but refuse to produce them in lengths suited to people who are not dwarves. There is something of a cottage industry in the US which caters for lengthening Benelli stocks using the above method. I know that a couple of of UK gunsmiths/stockers are looking at producing a made to order,in terms of length and replacement recoil pad, bolt on extender kit. The first one to crack it stands to make a killing. In the meantime I too have taken the easy route of a slip on pad. However, in order to use it, I`ve had to use the square ended pad from my Super Nova as a slip on pad does`nt sit well on the shaped butt pad from my SBE2. Hope this helps, Nick.
