Dave-G
Splitting hairs here and a question rather than answer: If Ian is only applying for air (and I'd recommend more than air if his land is suitable for rimfire) does he actually NEED one on his ticket which would have to be given up if he loses his FAC for any reason. Any air rifle one would do - which could be retained for use on a non FAC air rifle if he gives up his fac.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
The law is for FAC you need authority to own FAC silencers, sound moderators. Buy a cheapy on ticket so when you sell the combo cheapy goes, name or seriel not recorded. Buy excelent air sound moderator & use/keep as you wish. Apply for what cal' air you require & in seperate slots sound moderators for each rifle. I have .177, .22, FAC air rifles & sound moderator (air is stated on ticket) for .177, sound moderator for .22 Seems stupid but the system works. deadeye ive
Applying for FAC air rifle whilst filling application do i have to put a moderator on form ? as i wish to have one cheers lads You have to state it as a seperate addition .However like myself most air rifles come with a silenced shrouded barrel and as it's part of the rifle the need for this condition on your license is not required but it's best to cover all options and apply for a mod none the less. I agree with whats said earlier and that is if it's possible apply for a .22LR as well .Both have a place in any hunters gun cabinet IMO
