pigeon master
LS that a very nice 9mm. I had a bad experience with one of these while serving in Northern Ireland, me and a buddy went out shopping and when I was in the shop I squatted down to have a look at something in a supermarket, what I didn’t realise was my jacket had lifted exposing my pistol for all to see, I suddenly felt someone grab at the pistol in the holster and thought I was going to get slotted in the back of the head, luckily it was my mate playing games but he did get a shock to see a HK swinging round ready to give him a full magazine in the chest. We left quickly and never went back, I also started to wear a little longer jacket from that day on. The PM

The PM hope you were joking on the 9.0mm thing PM its a little larger than that , its a .50" Desert Eagle (magnum research IMI) nice little sidearm, totaly impractical as a defence weapon but its a hell of a ride when you touch off a round or two $2.50 a shot ( aprox a quid) its weight , 72ozs empty ,a little heavy as well, very accurate if you can hold it still ,i now run a bushnell red dot scope on it for longer range targets 50m + ,im told it carries enough energy to killat 300/350yds,seriously i would not dout that either. i run two ruger revolvers also .357"mag and a .44" mag both DA's in stainless, also very accurate weapons, two .22" auto's ,a walther P22 and a Berretta Neos (nick named, the space gun) a Para Ordanance .45" cal auto, and lastly a HW45 .22",so with all the toys how can a guy be unhappy not forgetting you Red many a true word spoken in jest ,we had gotten flooded this year hence moving all my **** around ,now had the basement fully redone so the gun room is now twice the size ,xmas coming wonder what i can get this year martin
jonno 357
Another Ruger 10/22. Fitted with a Carbon fibre barrel (cheapo one) and VQ trigger and internals. Hogue stock used when in the fields playing with the bunnies. Now how do I get it to float Jonno
jonno 357
Better picture of carbon fibre barrel
the last engineer
nice pic jonno, how do you find that barrel, had a lot of probs with mine, hence the forged o/s one now. i found that a lot of heat built up in the cavity and the barrel liner started to warp, accuracy out the window . nice gun though, like your stock ,why change it for the field ?? martin
jonno 357
Had the carbon barrel for about 2 years now. Its a Butler Creek barrel. Still seems ok. Get alot of heat in the barrel only cos when I'm having a play about with the mini carbine targets I can go through 500 rounds in no time at all. Suppose I should let it cool down. As for accuracy, its not the best of rifles. Saying that can't remember last time I cleaned it though. I only use it as a back up rifle when out in the fields. I stick with the bolt action. I swap the stocks over cos I once dropped it in a big pile of cow sh$t. Hogue ones are easier to get the sh$t off Jonno
