Hi JCB. Feast your eyes:

Famous Birmingham maker. I think that the new ones start at around £45,000. Bargain compared to these bad boys:

£60,000 or so should see you all right for a basic model.

Actually going up to London on Friday, staying in Grosvenor Square (sadly at a common hotel, not at my filthy-rich-but-sickly uncle's house) so South Audley Street is just around the corner. Might pop into Purdey's and annoy them by pretending I can afford to buy something :hmm: .

those are some beautiful works of art i might say, the folks that make those are definatley masters of there trade

and if i were you i would go in and see what they do me and my frieend used to test drive mercadies & Jaguares acting like we were snobby rich kids that were going to buy one with dads money  some time we got told to ****** off

LOL

Actually, one of them (Purdey or H&H) is apparently very friendly, and are happy to show shooters around the gun rooms, even if you've got no chance of buying something. People have posted on here about what a good experience they had looking round the shop. The other one I think has got a reputation for being a bit snobbish. Trouble is I can't remember which is which :hmm: .

Still, probably find out on Friday :lol: .

The William Evans gun room is also worth a look - they're a friendly bunch in there.

I second that. They've got a great range of quite reasonably-priced clothing as well. Lovely knitwear as I recall.

However, I once bought a pair of bright red moleskins in the sale (£30 as I recall...) and have never had the temerity to wear them outside... ;):good:

Regards,

LS
