Mergers are just stabilising the situation, good news by most accounts - the government just needs to make sure that the competition rules are re-adhered to following this period as it has previously. A wise decision Dr, especially given the fact that the shares were trading below the rights issue price! Robert I know, I tried to explain this to her but she was saying that if she bought them in the market she'd have to pay dealing fees and so it was cheaper to do this, not considering there might be an issue why the shares were below the rights price.
