millo2
How about 10-1 on me winning the sprint at rugby training tonight? :)

Teal
apparently the tips i copied and pasted last week- (http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=6654 ) a winner a second and a third (25/1) completed a tasty each way. Last column this year so hoping to make it a cracker! Can't claim credit but the guy I get info off seems to be a good guy!! *Edit - Striked out are old races sorry. A few weeks ago, Our Vic and Redemption (the latter since changed stables) were both gambled on for the Paddy Power Gold Cup but both missed the race due to minor setbacks. In the race itself Thisthatandtother finished second, just ahead of Monkerhostin. The martin Pipe Timmy Murphy team believe Our Vic is the best horse in their yard. If so he should win here because the winner of the Paddy power was Celestial Gold, also from the Pipe stable and presumably inferior. But this is a dreadful race for a bet. Martin pipe on tv this morning said there was a "bit left" to work on with Our Vic, so we can't expect him to be fully fit if that is the case today for his seasonal reappearance. Also a tendency to jump left handed (despite which all his wins have been right handed tracks unlike Cheltenham when he flopped at the festival) may not help against some seasoned campaigners. Paul Nicholls could barely hide his anger with the ride Ruby Walsh gave Thisthatandtother in the Paddy Power, meeting all manner of troubles in running, so he should confirm form with Monkerhostin here. Redemption has fallen at the second last here on two previous visits, so another with a question mark. Massac has to improve again while most of the others look in the grip of the handicapper. However this race has the feel of a 'result' race for the bookies with a big priced winner and the one that catches the eye is Farmer Jack, at 33/1 in places (40/1 on exchanges). Fell 2 from home in the Paddy power, then chased home Le Roi Miguel a week later and should be spot on today. Quite strongly fancied each way considering the odds. The hurdle race half an hour later is tricky. Rooster Booster probably can only win if he makes the running as he needs a fast run race, but if he does that he will set it up for any of several hold-up horses, like Westender or Back in Front. Sorry a race to avoid! In the 3.30 at Doncaster Mobasher is interesting on his seasonal bow for an in form yard, but the way Castleshane shaped last Saturday I think he might make all the running to deny the Venetia Williams horse. Around 6/1 (bigger on exchanges)Castleshane is the selection. Completing the patent this week, Bid for fame has been nibbled from a shrewd yard on the exchanges. A consistent handicaper who wins in his turn this is a very weak race and around 6/1 is a working man's price! Good luck and don't forget Gunner Welburn on Boxing Day at Wetheerby to get all the Xmas money back! Have a great festive season and back a few winners! ------- Not sure if these are todays races - i only just found this message on another message board Edited December 17, 2004 by Teal
Cranfield
Thats a bit confusing. There doesn't seem to be any racing at Doncaster (the only track mentioned), today, or tomorrow.
Teal
Sorry - it is probably some old tips perhaps for last saturday. Apologies
Fisherman Mike
Nothing solid other than the local stable Tom George is sending several animals to Haydock and they would be dissapointed if they didnt have a couple of winners. Turtle Soup and BeeanBee should go close. But I am torn between my heart and head in the 1.40 which is Turtle Soups race as Ian Williams is running a Horse called Royaleety which I have been carefully following for the last two seasons. It was thought good enough to run in the Arkle last march at the Cheltenham Festival and On a couple of occassions at Ayr when it has run apallingly has been well backed. It could be a bit of a sleeper ! and Ian Williams is a very astute trainer. Tomorrow it is running over hurdles and is obviously not without some ability. It could run well at a very big price and I shall be having some of Mrs. Mikes housekeeping money on it E.W. Heres hoping FM.
Fisherman Mike
How about 10-1 on me winning the sprint at rugby training tonight? :) Not very good odds considering the other competitor is David Blunkett :o
Cranfield
Teal, no problems, but I think you are a bit cheeky. Even I can forecast winners......................... of races that have already run. :o Too cold and wet to go out to the Bookies this afternoon and I'm shooting early tomorrow, so I will give it a miss this week. Unless the Shoot is called off due to the weather.
Cranfield
Nope, couldn't resist it, I had to dash out in the wind and rain, drive to New Romney and put a couple of bets on. How could I relax shooting tomorrow, knowing my chance of becoming very, very, very rich, was passing me by.
barrie0
Any chance of making this regular Mike , as I won a few quid last time ,and put down £3 on royalteety and £2 on turtle soup to win and got £9 back , not a lot but enough for a few pints . Keep posting those tips Ps how's the computer going on .
Fisherman Mike
Ill post up any strong information I get Barrie. I had a saver on Turtle Soup so the stake on Royaleety didnt go astray. That said he ran a cracking race.. just blue up apparently 2 out. When they turned into the straight and everything bar the winner was being scrubbed i thought we were stoned on for a place at 50/1 I shall keep an eye on when Royaleety is running again as there is some handicaps to be won with him without a doubt. i noticed that the jockey nursed him home when his cahnce was gone so he should be a reasonable price the next time he runs as he is still a maiden. Computors working fine thanks.

Royaleety owes us some money and I think must win a race soon I know he is well thought of. The two go head to head. Royaleety ran well for a very long way last time. The Stable of Turtle Soup also send two other runners to Wetherby this is a 400 mile round trip from Slad in Glos up the dreaded M1. Burwood breeze should go very close. FM.
