hogey Posted October 3, 2008 Report Share Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Went into my local Aldi 9pm on the off chance they had the mono scope but they were sold out.Only got four in yesterday. Wife asked me to get her some peppers and onions while I was there. When I went to the check out the check out chick asked me if I was the guy looking for the NV scope. I told her I was and she said she had a one that was just returned as the buyer thought it was a camera. So I took it and will try it and if it doesn't work will just take it back. I have heard from a couple of sources that if you add an additional good quility IR you can get them to see a charlie at 300yrds I have a small pocket one very similar from LIDL, I have used it with my Deben max and an IR filter and it doubles the range, but you do have to look along the IR beam for best results. They are brilliant on bright nights, so when You have a nice full moon, you'll fall in love with it. But on those dark heavy cloud nights where you can't see ****** all... there pretty ****.
