I didn't manage to get out till late today and after driving round for a while I found a mix of pigeons and blackies battering a field of newly sown wheat and set up with just deeks. as my battery was flat for the magnet (fuse blown on my charger).

After the 3rd pigeon I saw a rook flying in from over the trees and could see predominant white flashes on his wings as he flew low into the decoys. I got him and shot for a further 2 hours and packed up with minutes to spare before it rained. (phew)

Ended up with 27 . 12 pigeons and 15 blackies.

Picked up 24.

take a look at the badger/rook piccy or could it be a pigeon/rook (dropped into the wrong nest for a bonk)
