Wow thats a good gun, the only semi I have ever seen that you can break aswell lol  Although is it onlyever possible to have 2 shots due to the side feed ? I liked the M2 because of the 3 shots plus the option to get it FAC and add an extended mag tube :good:

On the auto front in the field i've used a Beretta 303 which was a nice gun. Then a Beretta Teknys sporter (nice but too heavy). A few weeks back I traded an AYA Yeoman for a Browning B2000. I absolutely love it. Light, pointable, cycles faultlessly, quick to load. A fantastic hide gun. They can be found secondhand for not a lot of money.

Just being nosey, what was the price on the browning b2000 ? i know you swaped it but it must of had a price tag on it ! My dad bought his new years ago and am curious to know what its worth

How much is an Xtrema 2 ? I hear they are also top guns.

The price on the M2 is around £1000-1200  lol. But it is a top gun

Don't know if you Southern lads are getting taken a lend of but you can def get an M2 for less than a grand at either Weldon Gun Room or York Guns. I got my FAC M2 for £925 with £30 worth of freebies thrown in from WGR. So if you add a max £30 transfer fee to get it to where you are you're still well under the £1k.

Once its broken in an M2 will cycle virtually anything, great gun!

Indeed the M2 is looking like a really top gun :birthday: lol  I have seen some on the web 2day. £975 for the plain one and I think it was £1000 odd for the Max 4 camo one

Havent seen much on the Xtrema 2 :good: although I have seen them for about £1200. How are they ? :birthday:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HXWoW3fw0IY,

Good reliable gun, will cycle light clay loads right up to 3 1/2'' magnum loads, even 65mm carts, which I think the Benelli wont cycle very well, if at all!!? The Beretta is a bit heavier weighing about 7.5lbs compared to the M2 which is about 7.1lb.

I've used both guns and they are VERY good. My advice would be to try and get a go on them both and see which feels right :good:

The guy in the video is probably shooting in the dark in case he misses & hopes you wont notice :good:

Tom Knapp & Tim Bradley use the Benelli's much better.

Dont all jump on me for this but I have used many Beretta's & I dont like them (thats just my personal feeling) the Xtrema 2 is OK however & probably the best of the Beretta's.

I still own and should really sell my old Remington 1187 & Browning Gold Hunter.

My Benelli M2 along with 2 other pump guns get most use, the M2 is superior to all the others in virtually every respect, as soon as you pick it you will know its something different & special.

The closest to the M2 is the new Winchester SX3, I used one a few months back & it felt very nice but it is a gas gun & may not be as reliable as the M2 if you dont remember clean it but its a fraction lighter & very fast to cycle, 12 shots in 1.442 by Patrick Flanigan if memory serves but has yet to prove its reliable over time.

All the following can except a mag extension which is important to me but 100 % reliability is also the other factor I simply wont compromise on.

I have owned, still own or have used most auto's & my choices would be in this order.

1 Benelli M2

2 Winchester SX3

3 Winchester SX2

4 Beretta Xtrema 2

5 Browning Gold

6 Remington 1187

However what fits me & what I like may not be for you & also may not suite what you have in mind with regard to what you intend to use the gun for.

The best advice is to try as many different guns as you can before you decide whats right for you, arriving at the Benelli for me was a very costly path & one I could have saved a fortune on if I had tried one sooner.
