rough shooting offered Buckinghamshire

Recommended Posts

would anyone be interested in joining a small low key rough shoot in bucks on a full or half-gun basis? We shoot fortnightly through the seaon (Saturdays), don't shoot big bags and only have 4 or 5 guns shooting. It is very much a rough shoot, and in good company. We shoot pheasant, the occasional duck, partridge & woodcock, and have some pigeon shooting from time to time too. We don't shoot ground game on a shoot day, but there may be opportunities for vermin shooting outside the shooting season. This could include deer shooting for firearm cert. holders with a suitable weapon.

just thought i would put up a few more detail as people have been asking..

shoot is approx 350-400 acres

we shoot fortnightly from 25th october to pre-xmas, then arrange remaining days to suit the guns.

The cost this year is £300 for a half-gun, £600 for a full gun.. this is approximate as we haven't finalised our feed costs but it won't be any more than that.

This is a small & very friendly rough shoot with only 4 or 5 guns shooting.

during the season we also enjoy pigeon flighting in a wood, usually after the day pheasant shooting. There are some partridge & duck there which we shoot occasionally, and also the odd woodcock.

There is pigeon shooting outside the shooting seasons, by agreement with other guns, & also the possiblitily of deer shooting to someone with an appropriate weapon.

this is not a big organised shoot - it is a small, friendly informal shoot though we do operate drives as far as possible rather than just hedge popping.

if you are interested you need to contact me asap as we start shooting October 25th
