gun security in my defender

i do, BUT, its entirely visible and defenders are not known for their security, it may well be that its the only option but i was hoping someone might come up with some eureka type answer

i have considered a safe type box in the back but with it being a 90 model there is only about max 1200mm ish which is a tiny bit too short for a shotgun incl slip, its ok for the air rifles though - so it could be the answer

How about a break down cabinet, could be bolted/welded maybe?

I put mine behind the seats in its slip. You can get a safe in the back, but the sizing's not good for the brattonsound ones as they're quite thick but not long enough to take up the space between the wheel arches. I am going to get one of those aluminium boxes made up with a couple of locks on it. OK, not as secure as a steel safe but enough to stop a smach and grab.

I spoke to a company called mobile storage solutions about it, he suggested this one. I was going to line it and put some king of gun rack in there. Its still on my list of things to do. I need to check the measurements against my gun, not sure a semi will go in there.

this is the way i am going i think, maybe get something that can be bolted to the bench over the wheel arches, just will mean the shotguns will have to be broken down beopfre i put them in, i was thinking about lining it in foam to offer some protection

use it

? what :good:?

animals191.jpgIve got a two gun cabinet bolted in behind the bulkhead in my lightweight and can get all my shotguns and rifles in without stripping them down (not all at once obviously) as lightweights are narrower than 90s you shouldnt have any probs Edited by mickeylove
