Half a dozen pigeon....

Poor old sloe crop again in mid Norfolk, so I thought I'd have a look north of the county for a few late ones on one of my permissions. Same again, not enough to justify picking. Ah well, have to make to with blackberry Vodka. What's the sloe crop like elsewhere?

I put the auto in the motor with a couple of boxes of ammo and had half a dozen flighting the edge of a wood. I've just "done" them and they were stuffed with berries.....is there a message here?

In North Wales there was also ****** all.. but then a mate told me about a load of blackthorn growing at approx 900ft above sea level. In 90 mins I picked half a carrier bag full. How have a demijohn full of sloe gin on the go... plus a sneaky bottle to be harvested early :drinks:
