Escort 3" (& 3 1/2) Chambered Users

Recommended Posts

As a more direct question to my last thread on carts types. If you own an escort 3" or 3 1/2" chambered semi what is the biggest load you have put through the gun without blowing your face off? Name your loads.......

P.S. This is a serious question, just more a practicable approach to my previous thread as a technical data request got me no where.

Same as any other 3" or 3 1/2" chambered 12 bore, usually 52gm and 2 1/4 oz respectively.

It was concerning PSI/KG cm2 values, i got **** all hard evidence, now i just want hard facts off other escort users and loads fired.... recount recount................ Don't make me play back "white rabbit" to erase this post from my mind.:)

I have fired 2 1/4 oz of tungsten though one of my escorts I have owned. Had one 3 1/2" and two 3" models. But what I will say is I am on my third one now..... Literally I have wore them out.

My first one after two years of ownership had so much play in the barrel/chamber housing it was nearly a pump action............

So the moral of the story is yes you can put through them what ya like as long as it is cartridge to chamber specific for the gun.

Marko if your Escort is in good condition a 3.5 inch chambered gun will handle any factory loaded shell for sale in this country, Gamebore mamonths , Remingtons , Winchesters and so on. I think the bigest load for steel is the Winchester Drylok 1.9\16s oz. For a 3 inch gun 1 1\4 oz of steel is the biggest load.
