Dave-G
Shogun Pinin to the rescue. Well brother Chris (fleabag) rang me this afternoon to say he was stuck in some mud, could I please come and tow him out - but I was still in bed. So her indoors went to the rescue in our little hairdressers Pinin. By her account the Pinin performed brilliantly by pulling his recently acquired Land Rover Discovery 3 out with no problems at all. I was up when she got back and dashed down to the scene with my camera but Chris had largely cleaned things up by then and it was almost dark anyway. I feel an urge to post this on the Shogun Pinin forum too… and possibly Land rovers. I wonder what Chris’s story will be?

magman
And the point of posting this was ? A corsa would pull out the disco if it was on hard ground ,did the Pinin try the same route afterwards ? these threads give me a giggle sometimes
Dave-G
I'm on permanent late night shifts Mark HE HE, I have not gone over the same ground - yet.... but did go over the same ground he had difficulty with on the weekend - and got out a liitle easier. Then went where he would not have even tried... and got stuck a lot more but still eventually got out ok. Yup - The standard tyres are mainly to blame but he's not sure if fitting MT's will invalidate the warranty since they might put more strain on the gearbox and shafts. And to put things straight my two rear wheels had dissapeared and the 3 was sitting on the spare tyre, front two wheels may as well have not been there,

Dave-G
I think that piccy must have been taken before he phoned for help, it was much muddier when I got down to see it. Our Pinin got in a right state pullin that out, it took three one pound sessions at the jet wash to blast most of the visible mud off it. I had a look at where it happened this morning and have to say it looked way too swampy for me. Chris has now been barred from his regular jet wash - I wonder why
