What Makes a good Shooting Ground

For me, its one with plenty of variety and also space, but also somewhere to get food and drink and also where no one else goes, but that is impossible. Fennes in Braintree Essex is a good range and is getting better with new club house soon. Went there on Saturday but they were closed !!!

Highlodge in North Suffolk is even better, plenty of space, not too busy, open all day Saturday in summer and sundays, so not everyone is crowding in on a small Saturday morning time gap.

You also get married at the one in Braintree............ :hmm:

It'll be the same for any venue I think, regardless of it's line of business.

Easy to get to.

Loads of parking.

Clean facilities.

Good food/hot tea at non insane prices.

Spectatular targets to satisfy all.

Max price of 17.5p per clay.

On site gun shop and gun smith.

Grunt circling the stands to fix any problems.

Reliable traps.

Pool/Snooker table.

Bar.

Widescreen HD telly.

Basically if you could roll the best features of Southdown, Dartford, Fennes and Shrove Hill you'd be onto a sure fire winner.
