Flapper every time . If you put a magnet out then you can steer distant birds in your direction for the chance of a shot . If you have done you recces enough then you already know which field the quarry want to be in . Now its time to bring them to the end of your barrels which is where the flapper comes in. Positioned correctly they will try and land vertually on top of it.

They are very good for pigeon but even more effective for crows as long as this method hasnt been used lots before as they soon become wise .

i went for the deal shootwarehouse had going which was a magnet and flapper for £99.

i use the magnet vertually everytime however the flapper is in the back of the shed.

what i found did work well with them both is if i put the magnet out about 50 yrds from hide away from the pattern and have the flapper about 20yrds away from hide where you want the birds to land. i found most incoming birds would land next to the flapper.

i just stopped using it as it was more stuff to carry, which to me never made more birds come into the pattern it just helped direct them as to where to land.

so if its one or the other i would suggest the magnet.
