MerseaDavid
Me and dad went out on the rape again today and when we got on to the field there was around 5-600 birds already on the field and they were flighting over a group of oak trees, so we set up a small pattern of decoys and within 1/2 an hour we had shot 6 birds for 6 shots and then we did not see another bird for a couple of hours apart from a crow. After lunch they started to come in a a little while but then they went on to our neighbours rape field about 500 yards away from our field and did not come back for the rest of the day. But we ended the day with 24 pigeons (me, 9 dad, 15), 1 crow and 1 dove.
MerseaDavid
Waiting for the pigeons to come back gave us a chance to have a cup of hot chocolate.

MerseaDavid
It was nice weather for just sitting in a hide. We were not too bothered that there was not many birds flying around. We just sat there in the sun watching some nice cars drive past the field and a few planes messing around and shooting a few pigeons, what more can you ask for.
