hants rifle
http://www.irishsetterboots.com/shoe-zoom.cfm?style=2832 I have a pair of Irish Setter boots, link above. Never seem to hear about them but I think they are the American Chameau's, only better value without the poncy French pricing ;-). Got them on EBay for £90 or less a few years ago. They make a lot of work and safety boots as well but have been doing walking and hunting kit in the States for ages. Never get cold or wet in them and they've been used on Scottish hills and Croatian snow (for days at a time with no spare boots, due to luggage restrictions) plus more normal duties. Can't recommend highly enough. Comfortable and supportive but easy for yomping as well. Zero maintenance just jump into them and go. Give 'em a look. LostWomble
I have had a pair of Hi-Tec Magnums for a few years and they have never let me down. There have been cold wet nights where the only thing warm and dry were my feet.
Chard
Been told by ex army guys that danner assault boots can't be beaten, and they weigh about 400g each!!!! I've got Danner Recon boots. Very good and ridiculously comfortable - even the first time you wear them. Overpriced though
Clydebuilt
Im thinking about getting some walking boots for shooting/mooching. any recomendations? about £100?cheers sam I would add another Meindl recommendation It's well worth saving a bit more for your budget and getting either the Douvre's or the shorter Burma's. The Douvres are my personal favourites and when looked after properly will last you many many years. They are definately worth the investment however, try before you by as always to ensure they fit. Trussman
Altberg. English made and quality boots. Have just got myself the Warrior boot and to saythey are is superb is an understatement! Buy yourself some quality boots. They will last longer and will save your feet from alot of aggro. Try a range of different makes and choose the ones which feel the best. I had a pair of Magnums and learned the hard way that cheap boots aren't worth it.
