real birds and decoys in the same pattern

hi

im going to buy 12 flocked shell decoys in the next few days (anybody see any good offers)

i already have some home made cradles which i have used with real birds.

 

but can you used decoys and real birds in the same pattern?

Hi mate.

 

I have not hered of any deals at the moment but someone might know of something.

 

You can deffernately use dead birds with plastic decoys.

 

Some people say to take them in because they think the birds can tell the difference but then if the birds could tell then you would not shoot any and also by the time the birds are close enough to tell the difference they should be dead.

 

I never take my plastic decoys in because I go by the bigger the pattern the better.

I start off with decoys, and as birds get shot (pigeon/crow) I add them to the decoys. It always works.

Buy some bamboo skewers, pack of 100 are like £1 or something they are perfect to use for propping heads up makes the dead birds stand out more. plus leave them in the field they rot down.
