new to the flock
Okay boys...and girls, I haven't had a lurcher for the past 9 months and I am starting to miss the action of the runs. Came up with this idea to see if we cant get some pics of the dogs working . I know I never think of taking working pictures until it is too late and the dog is gone, then I kick myself. How about it YP, Vimm, Lurcherboy, and any of the others with running dogs lets see some pics of the dogs in action. YP Lemmy called me last night and said he needed an excuse to get out for a run .....but he said not to tell you... Vimm I would love to see some more pictures of that holstien you call a dog....I dont care what anybody says he is a pretty boy....

game_boy
The Big Boy is a Irish Deer Hound x Whippet. He's too old for the flat out chase these days but still enjoys sniffing around the undergrowth. Beside him is my JRT who gets into everything, really good at putting up Pheasants! Paul in North Lincs.
Was out Rabbiting on Saturday morning. Took along my cousins 13 year old collie, wippet, bedlington cross out for a couple of hours. In her time she was a cracking worker, with her best day being about 30 bunnies. In retirement now she still marks occupied burries, and even managed to nail one that alighted from a bolt hole we'd missed. In the way back to the car, an large 6 point Row buck apeared in the midddle of a field. Jess had never seen a deer in her life, but took off and coursed the dam thing for about a mile over fields!!! Needless to say she came back absolutely exhausted! Paul in North Lincs Edited March 21, 2005 by Paul in North Lincs.
