Catamong
Pete, These Deeks are usually from places like Italy, where presumably there aren't many woodies, so they've only got photos to go on, also over there brown paint is cheaper than grey..?? I always reckon that if they're close enough to notice that they're painted a murky brown instead of battleship grey, they're close enough to receive a 32gram dose of No 6 which will put paid to their curiosity..!! old rooster
Picture doesn't really show it very well but it had the white wing bars, white neck bars so was a woody maybe it had been washing in Bold or Ariel ??
Paul in North Lincs.
Ver very interesting OR, My first impression was that its was a 'mealy'colored type feral, but after closely examining the photo, I do believe that that it could indeed be a rare mutated woodpigeon, the head especially shouts 'woody' to me, along with the very thick rump feathers. If it is a true albino / mutated bird, then its the most extreme variation I've ever seen..... and I would love to see some more photos if you have any!! scolopax
Its leucistic, innit. Once saw a similiar pinkfooted goose, not white but looked as if the colours had washed out of it.
