steve_b_wales
I've been told that once a shotgun is classed as FAC, then it remains the same even if it is altered to fire 3 shots. I may be wrong though. Give your local RFD and/or FEO a bell and ask their advice.
Baldrick
It's a simple case of having the mag tub crimped by your 'smith, and then re-proofed. The 3-shot gun can then be transferred off your FAC to your SGC.
lurcherboy
Make sure that you make the 'smith know that you intend to use 3.5" carts. LB
dusk2dawn
Make sure that you make the 'smith know that you intend to use 3.5" carts. LB Cheers LB reason for crimping the tube is to sell it, no one wants an fac rated semi but a cheap 3 shot is another matter. BUT there is the cost of the work and reproofing Rgds D2D
Andy H
If you want to do the work yourself follow this link and it will give you all the specifications for magazine restriction and also deactivication specs ,But you will have to give it to and rfd for them to put it onto their books as a section 1 firearm to send to proof house and then transfer back to yourself as a std shotgun so you can tell the police you have disposed of a firearm and aquired a shotgun . http://www.basc.org.uk/en/utilities/docume...DCF08688FAD95C4 Edited March 29, 2009 by Andy H
