3000 carts get yourself an army surplus artillery shell container drill a hole to fit a padlock through drill 2 holes in the back for wall fixings and that will hold 3000 carts easy. Or if your like me just leave them in the built in wardrobe in plain cardboard boxes.

EDIT:- i did start off putting mine in a ammo container but found the more different types of shooting i was doing i found i was holding 6/7000 shells at one time.

2nd EDIT:- To answer the original question yes those safes are perfectly fine, i have the larger one and the medium one and my FEO says they are fine and he sees loads of them.

are these police appoved type for bolt and ammo. if so i will order one now

Phil

There is no specific requirement or minimum standard for an ammo safe, I use one of these and it passed inspection with no problems the feo said that as long as the bolt and ammo are in a seperate place thats fine, but it makes sense to make them secure.

The following is taken from the police guidelines.

19.26 As an additional level of security,

ammunition and easily removable component

parts – such as rifle bolts etc. – ought to be

stored separately from the firearms they fit.

This could be either by use of a detached

storage container fitted elsewhere in the

dwelling, or one built into or onto the

firearms cabinet
