03luffmb
Ive got a BSA supersport .177 and it kicks like any think, and ive got like £15 2 peice mounts. The problem is i do them up tight enougth and when i fire about 20 shots the scope is sliding black the rail at about 5mm every 20-30 shots. Is their any advise on what mounts i should get or any think i could buy to prevent it sliding down the rails??? im will to spend up to £

jojusa
You need mounts with a stop pin which will fit into the hole on top of your gun between the dovetail or a BSA scope stop kit.
Steve'o
Hi There is no hole for a stop pin on the dovetails of a BSA Supersport. Only option I can see is a BSA Scope Arrestor Block part number 18-1178. I am ordering one from BSA for my .177 Supersport tomorrow. realtreedave
thats the problem with springers their recoil is very different and far more harsh on scopes than centrefires, one piece mounts might help,or dampa mounts from theoben or an arrestor block
Carbonrocket
On my Longbow springer I went for dual mounts with dual screws top and bottom. The scope has not moved since. Carbon

bennyblanco
There is no hole for a stop pin on the dovetails of a BSA Supersport. My supersport had a threaded hole at the rear of the tube, I fitted a block that the rear mount butted up against and never had trouble again. ben
