quiet multishot - which one?

I'm after an air rifle - mainly/only for pigeon & rat control; am I correct in thinking that a quiet pcp is the correct model to go for - I was thinking something like a BSA but have very little knowledge in the field of air rifles. This would also be a non-FAC.

Is there a difference in noise between say BSA and Air Arms?

thanks!
