andy33
Just bought a pcp air rifle and was pretty happy with the idea of a stirrup pump but after reading and listening am a bit unsure as to weather to go for a diving bottle set up,is there a massive cost/hassle differance or is it just personel preference. Also whats the ideal tank size. Cheers. Edited April 18, 2009 by andy33

The cost is high at first, Dive Bottles are not cheap but can can some on here at a reasonable price have a look in the search for OTHER ITEMS FOR SAL E this section. Go for say a 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 ltr bottle at 300 bar if you can and a 1 / 2 / 3 ltr bottle to carry with you. This is only my opinion mind. anim al
if you get a bottle and your guns got a quickfil on it,,theres nothing easier the hw100 for example is the easiest and quickest thing you could wish for, after the initial layout its plain sailing. a 12 litre 300 bar lasts me ages. i can fill the hw100 in 30 secs. paid £200 for mine, new at guns international, stairfoot ,barnsley and these are the nicest folk you could deal with cheers al
bruno22rf
I use a pump for my S200-never runs out like a tank seems to just at the wrong moment-on an average shoot of 30-40 pellets it takes around 40-50 pumps to recharge the cylinder-keeps you fit but it not as hard as most people seem to make out
20alex09
S200 is easy to pump up due to the small cylinder try pumping up a S16 or Rapid 7.
bigred
I have a 15Ltr dive bottle 232bar and although good i wouldn't recommend filling a gun up quick as this heats the air and you can't get as much in therefore running out sooner. A added problem of going to the local dive shop every so often that might not be that local for you to fill up the bottle. My friend has a pump and when he comes back in from shooting he fills the gun back up to full pressure ready for next time said its not hard and he don't have to mess about like I do. Worth a thought for you and me both.
