Cranfield
Does anybody but cartridges by mail order ? Any good prices ? How do they deal with the shotgun certificate issue ? Are the postage costs high ?
Pigeon Pieman
Cranfield, there is a series of posts about this very subject under 'buy, sell or swap' under Winchester cartridges. :(
Cranfield
Pieman, I noticed that, but it doesn,t answer any of my questions. Rather than turn the "Buy/Sell" forum into a conversation area, I thought I,d post my questions here. It would suprise me if anyone buys cartridges mail order. Unless its an unusual gauge/ load, or they live in a very remote area. :(
dodeer
i occasionally buy my carts over the internet. You just phone up and they deliver to your door by TNT and they check your shotgun certificate. Easy as pie! Normally cheaper to buy in bulk as i do ( 5000 carts at a time). dodeer
If i buy carts from www.justcartridges.com i pay £18 delivary for a 1000. If i order over 8000 its normally free. I find its best to buy with others eg. members of my shoot.
reynard895
I was called yesterday by my local bobby that deals with firearms and shotgun cert aplications, As I am an RFD he calls with updates of the law relating to guns and ammunition. Seemingly it is law that you can give your certificate to a friend with a letter to be handed to the seller, seller opens letter reads your request that you want 250 cartridges, he then sells them to the non certificate holder on your behalf. This is no wind up this is a home ofice ruling, can easily be checked out. My local bobby was shocked to read that an RFD does not have to sign any bullets or heads into anyones certificate ( thats oficial ). any certificate holder can give bullets or heads to another certificate holder without entering it into their cert. this can all be confirmed, theres lots more things thats hard to believe. Any questions just ask, will try my best to answer Regards
