Zapp
Its a common problem, mine does it also. I get around it by sliding some heavy duty rubber over it (fnar etc) and then using an adjustable wrench to get it off. I make sure I give the male and female threads a good clean and store the gun with the end cap off (you will need to ease the working parts forward under tension when you release the bolt carrier or the gun will fly apart). Harnser
It happens often ,it seems to tighten its self with use . I use a piece of leather and mole grips to get it off when it tightens up . Harnser .

frankydiver
Sorry i might have misled you. I mean that the cap itself is siezed inside and i can not dismantle it to clean it . Frank
BlaserF3
You will have to soak it in some fluid that will dissolve all the ****. I have not let mine get that bad so I'm a bit unsure what to recommend but someone will have the answer.

swift4me
If you are saying that you have gotten the cap off of the gun, but it is rusted inside, (many don't know, but there is a spring and a split ring inside of the cap), then yes, soak it, but you'll never really get rid of the rust. If you can get one to the UK, the guys at SRM in Idaho who make all the aftermarket recoil tubes, mag extensions, etc for semi-autos, make a replacement cap for 390 and 391 Berettas WITH a quick detach sling stud. Theirs has no spring and is infallible, but around $70 US. If it is stuck on the gun, then the others have gotten you sorted out. Good luck, Pete

stevew
I had this problem with my 20g 391, which is worse because the end cap is smaller. What worked for me was standing the gun upside down with the end cap in a mug of boiling water, leaving it for 5 minutes, then it moved with pliers. I put a rag around the end cap to stop it getting damaged. I then cleaned the threads and put some coppaslip (copper grease used to stop things seizing) on them.
